Tom Brady’s Surprising Knowledge of Cricket
Tom Brady, who has built his legendary career in American football, showed that he has a close eye on the global sporting world too. During a recent appearance on Gary Neville’s ‘Stick to Football’ podcast, the NFL icon surprised the panel by instantly naming Virat Kohli as one of the world’s most-followed athletes on Instagram.
The moment came during a light-hearted quiz in which Neville, Roy Keane, Ian Wright and Brady had to identify the athletes with the biggest Instagram followings.
The Quiz Show Moment
The panel had no trouble naming Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who occupy the top two spots. But when it came to the next athlete on the list, everyone paused. Before anyone else could answer, Brady confidently said: “Virat Kohli, the cricketer from India.”
His response immediately caught Neville, Keane and Wright off guard. While the football legends looked surprised, Brady’s answer turned out to be correct.
